Rebbetzin Sofia Mejia

Rebbetzin Sofia was born and raised in Middletown, NJ. Raised as Catholic with Jewish roots, G-d lead her back to her roots over the course of her life. From a young age, she was taught to love and respect Israel because it is G-d’s chosen nation. She was fascinated with the Names of G-d in Hebrew, and no event in history touched her more than the Holocaust, and it was after receiving a history assignment her sophomore year in high school that she understood why. Sofia’s German Jewish family was part of the underground movement during the Holocaust, eventually managing leave Germany. Rebbetizin Sofia’s heart for Israel and the Jewish people continued to grow, and as she continued to connect more with her Jewish background, she learned of the Messianic movement. After watching several videos of the congregation, King of Kings in Jerusalem, she said, “Whatever G-d is doing through the Messianic community, I want in.” Rebbetzin Sofia and Rabbi Scott are passionate about Israel and their brethren, the Jewish people, and they desire to share with them that there is nothing more Jewish than to follow Yeshua the Messiah.

Sofia is a former school teacher.
